Helen B. Mitchell DNP, FNP-BC
Dr. Helen Bedford Mitchell is a highly experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with 28+ years in healthcare and education. Her passion is healthcare education, emphasizing the importance of knowledge leading to wisdom in decision-making. She graduated as valedictorian from Melrose High School in 1987, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1991, and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Memphis in 1994. She also holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Saint Louis University, with a focus on diabetes-related emotional distress among African Americans.
